Retrofit Solutions

The M-2406 Adapter Chassis, combined with the M-7679 R-PAC, provides convenient direct replacement of the Eaton Cooper Form 6 Type F6-P2A and F6-P2B controls with serial numbers above 10,000 or beginning with CP57.

Designed as a direct retrofit solution, the M-2406 allows for a straightforward and efficient installation within the existing control cabinet. It includes all necessary components to provide proper power and control functionality for the Eaton Cooper Nova Recloser, utilizing the original wire harnesses for both power and control connections.

The M-2406 Adapter Chassis is mounted into the Eaton Cooper Form 6 control location using the existing hardware.

M-7679 R-PAC Retrofit Applications

The M-7679 R-PAC can be used to retrofit the Eaton Cooper Form 6 relay in the following applications:

1. Pole mount Eaton Cooper cabinet

The M-7679 R-PAC, when used in conjunction with the M-2406 Adapter Chassis, enables retrofitting of an existing Eaton Cooper Form 6 relay within the original recloser cabinet, for pole mounted applications.

2. Yard mount Eaton Cooper cabinet

When used with the M-2406 Adapter Chassis, the M-7679 R-PAC can upgrade an existing Eaton Cooper Form 6 relay within its original recloser enclosure for yard mounted substation applications.

3. Substation panel mount

The M-7679 R-PAC is a versatile retrofit solution to replace existing Eaton Cooper Form 6 relays in substation panel mount applications. It integrates seamlessly into the original substation panel infrastructure, minimizing installation time and preserving existing wiring and cabinet configurations.

4. Substation rack mount

The M-7679 R-PAC is engineered to retrofit existing Eaton Cooper Form 6 relays in substation rack mount configurations. It fits directly into standard 19-inch racks, preserving the original wiring and layout.

Replacement Solutions

M-2979 Control Cabinet

The M‑2979 Recloser Control Cabinet houses the M‑7679 R-PAC and components, providing a complete solution for recloser control replacement.

It provides the capability to change the recloser control and cabinet as a single component.

The M‑2979 and M‑7679 combination includes all required interface connections and communication capabilities for seamless integration. The cabinet meets or exceeds NEMA 250, IEC 60529, and IEEE C37.60 standards. Each unit can be configured with optional support equipment to match specific applications, or it can be supplied without additional equipment, for flexible deployment.
