The Nexus® 1500+ meter is designed to be a primary and testable revenue meter that additionally provides advanced power quality analysis functions. Using the auto-calibrating Constant Calibration™ architecture circuit, this meter offers superior accuracy and stability through its temperature range. The Nexus 1500+ meter provides a host of communication options for substation SCADA and energy management communication. This allows a user to bring back data via multiple options, including serial, Ethernet and USB. Multiple protocols are available simultaneously, including Modbus (RTU, TCP), DNP 3.0, IEC 61850, FTP, SMTP, SNTP, HTTP and more. The meter has dual Ethernet ports that can be operated on separate networks. Using EIG’s port control, protocols and ports can be independently controlled to limit access and provide internet security.
There is no threat of a failed heating element or pilot light going out with the Nexus 1500+. The Nexus 1500+ is pre-wired and configured as an advanced class “A” power meter. It has expandable switchgear capabilities, allowing the user to meter critical circuits without any time consuming and expensive panel redesign. The meter is pre-wired with shorting blocks and fuses leaving little chance of error when installing. To prevent the chance of tampering, the system has a locking mechanism. The Nexus 1500+ has 40 MHz acquisition speed, and more memory speed.
